The Hastings Lake YMCA, an affiliate of the YMCA of Metropolitan Chicago, is a 501(c)(3) charitable organization. We rely on charitable giving to meet the evolving needs of individuals and families and to extend and deepen our reach into the local neighborhoods and communities.
Individual, corporate, and foundation donations allow us: to offer financial assistance to individuals and families who cannot otherwise afford to join the our YMCA; to give scholarships to youth at our day, sports, and specialty camps; and teach children how to swim.
We never turn anyone away. We’ll find a way to make it work. In 2009 we reached our goal of raising $15,000 and awarded over $125,000 in scholarships thanks to you. This year, the need in our community is greater than ever; which is why we need your help to reach our goal of $20,000 in 2010.
