Getting fit isn’t easy. Challenges range from making time or having the energy to finding the right place. That’s where the YMCA’s Commit to be Fit program can help. And, best of all, it’s FREE to all members! For a fitness program to meet your individual needs, you need individualized coaching. During our 12-week program, your Fit Coach will meet with you to determine your lifestyle, schedule and fitness goals. To sign up for the Commit to be Fit program, simply stop by our Member Service Desk and schedule your first appointment with your Fit Coach. You’ll be on your way to a healthier you!

fasttrack
For individuals who are comfortable with a fitness facility, but need to learn how to use the YMCA’s equipment. Includes up to three meetings with a Fit Coach.

 

basiccommit
For the first-time exerciser who needs a thorough review of fitness as well as some motivational coaching. Includes four meetings with a Fit Coach over a 12-week period.

 

weightcommit
For individuals who want to lose weight, but need a coach for motivation. This track helps individuals gain more knowledge about how food fuels the body as well as how exercise can affect your metabolism rate. Includes four meetings with a Fit Coach over a 12-week period.

 

Group Exercise Classes

The Hastings Lake YMCA offers a wide variety of Group Exercise classes, including Boot Camp, Cardio Kickboxing, Cycling, Total Body Conditioning, Yoga, and more! A current schedule can be viewed on our Programs and Schedules Page or can be picked up at our Member Service Desk.

 

Personal Training

One size does NOT fit all! Your personal trainer will develop a fitness and lifestyle program that is tailored to your personality and goals. Complete the Personal Training Request form, available at the Member Service Desk, and a personal trainer will contact you soon!

 

Adult Swim Lessons

If you are a beginner or intermediate swimmer over the age of 18 years old, we have the program for you! Have fun, gain confidence, and learn to swim in one of our adult swim lesson programs.

 

Water Fitness Classes

Water Fitness Classes are a great way to get a fantastic, fun workout using the natural resistance of the water, while combining cardio-aerobic work and muscle toning exercises. Come and see what a great workout the pool can be!
